Considering position with Gyrus, ENT

I just received a call from a recruiter for this position. It sounds great but wanted some feedback and true opinions before I continue with the process.

Do you enjoy working for Gyrus?
Do the docs in the OR appreciate you?
What do you like/dislike about Gyrus?
Are you making the kind of money promised?

Any additional comments,suggestions are welcomed!

What part of the country are you in? Gyrus is always going to be fighting the uphill battle of competing with Medtronic ENT (which pretty much owns the market). They do have certain areas around the country though that have decent market share.

I am in ENT, but not with Gyrus or MDT. I would definitely interview and ask the manager what the territory did last year volume wise, and then assume about 10% of that if it is a strait commision position. Also, I would ask about Gyrus's position in that specific territory as it relates to MDT and others. Docs like their (Gyrus) products generally, but some products such as the shaver are very "surgeons preference" meaning they like one model over the other for specific reasons. They are not all the same.

Hope this helps, seems like a good op.

hello,

i know its been years since your post, but i have an upcoming interview with gyrus ent and wanted to see if you took the job and if so what your experience is/was like?

thanks!

I received an offer from acmi. Very reluctant. My brother told me this company sucks and the reps can't hack it at the top performers so they end up here. Others say the pay is too good to pass up. Anyone have the real story?
