Considering Job With UHS..

Can I get a no BS assessment, I know the company is going through some tough times, but I'm extremely interested in getting into the medical device industry and the job I'm interviewing for. From reading some of the other threads I don't expect a serious answer, but maybe...

UHS doesn't look good on a resume . It is a career wrecker. Everyone is out for themselves and management is a joke. They will tell you anything you want to hear but in reality they are full of crap.

I respectfully disagree with the statement above, with the exception that everyone is out for themselves, this is the case in most companies. So,be out for your self, get a job at UHS and treat it like a stepping stone. You will have the opportunity to form relationships with customers and vendors. Chances are good that you can have a positive impact on some aspect of your territory. Then, start looking for a better situation, it is called paying your dues and is a time honoured way to build a career in this industry. You will not get rich working at UHS, but there can be value in the knowledge and relationships that your position at UHS provides. These can be monitized in your next job in a company that is perhaps better positioned.

I agree use UHS as a stepping stone . I worked at UHS for 7 plus years had great success coming in with little experience . In 7 years able to gain 15 years worth of experience and built awesome relations. In moving on from UHS I can honestly say if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have the position I do today , go for it and make the most of it. Good luck.

Stepping stone? This place is a stumbling block. I pity the fool that thinks UHS will help your resume. This company is virtually unknown outside the very niche rental industry. The only value that UHS has on the resume is if you are an operations person that delivers beds and cleans equipment.
