Considering a position in Boston

1 Why did the last rep leave?
2 How many reps in territory the past 3 years?
3 Ask reps, doctors and staff what they think of the manager.
4 What is the commercial reimbursement like?
5 Is there Medicaid reimbursement in your state for Life Vest? If so, how much do they pay?
6 Do the big local commercial plans pay for Life Vest in your area?
7 How many have been prescribed in the past year?
8 Ask 3 Cardiologists (ideally EP's) to find out if anyone uses it regularly.
9 Google "Life Vest job review".
10 How many existing PSR's are in your territory to fit patients? Do you have support if you sell it?
11 How many hospitals in your territory?

If Brad Carlson is the manager, he is a nice guy! The job is really high turnover and the company sucks. Ask anyone if there has been a rep there over a year. Doubt it.

Even if you had all the answers to these questions, it doesn't matter. They don't like sales reps. ML has been overheard at NSM saying sales reps are a necessary evil. They will abuse you for your relationships, and you will find yourself looking for a new job in less than a year. The account coordinators have more authority than you do when it comes to fitting patients. If you have a job, stay there, look elsewhere, but don't come here...

READ THE THREAD 120 DAYS AT ZOLL…THEN…ASK YOUR PROSPECTIVE MANAGER ABOUT THE COMMISSION PLAN AND HOW IT GROWS EVERY MONTH…THIS IS NOT DEVICE IT ONLY GETS YOU PHYSICIAN CALL POINT EXPERIENCE. IF YOU ARE UNEMPLOYED THEN GO FOR IT…OTHERWISE…I CANNOT THINK OF A MORE INEPT, SHREWD DEVICE AND COMPANY….There is a reason turnover is high. Ask recruiters good ones….they will sell you straight. Don’t be fooled by greedy recruiters who are just after a commission….IE JEFF OWENS

if you take the Boston job, consider yourself a deadman walking. MGH/BW/STE...all think its a joke! The guy selling commodes has easier access and respect than you would representing such a device. I say that in the context of "everyone needs TP" but at somepoint you need it to "complete the job". After how many years and how many reps? Don't fool yourself into thinking "its marketing presence or sales sensitive". Yes you may have relationships and so did everyone else but did that drive uptake or demand to meet the market need............uh no. Bottom line...useless.

Pls. Give any advice, deep in the process already and I dont want to toeave a good gig that I have and have a buyers remorse later.

Thanks

Lol. Funny post! Great job! 400k at plan company only wants you to work 2 days a week. If you need extra money one month they will fly someone to your house and bring you cash. Mandatory 4 week vacation at camp ZOLL located in south beach Miami. Everyone must go there once a year to recharge their batteries. If your single girls or guys are provided at meetings for stress relief. Don't listen to the 3000 other employees who have posted here. Idiot.

long and short is to read all the post that are the board. there are many truths spoken with management trying to convince otherwise. if you have a job, stay with it. if you're unemployed, broke, then sure take it. there is no organization is this country that operates under such a ridiculous business model as zoll. Management gets paid greatly all the way to the regional managers. TMs get screwed. Award winning reps have been fired within 1 year of winning. i suggest you ask a lot of questions before saying yes.

OMG, do NOT take this job under ANY circumstances. It is the most dysfunctional work environment you'll ever encounter. You can't imagine how awful it is because a normal person couldn't begin to invent half the things they do here.

Just read the posts here. IT IS ALL HERE. The management responses to sales force that are downright hateful, the ridiculous policies, even questions to ask during an interview.

THERE IS NO JOB BAD ENOUGH TO LEAVE AND TAKE THIS ONE. SAVE YOURSELF.
