Conmed Patient Care-Entry Level

Hey! I have an interview this week with Conmed Patient Care in Central Vally, Ca. It is for an associate territory manager position. I am very aware that this is an entry level position. However, as a fresh college graduate I am thankful for the opprotunity to even interview with a medical device company. With that said, my interview instructions told me to be prepared to give a brief sales presentation on a product or service of my choice. I really could use some help and direction concerning the path I should take with my presentation. Any pointers or advice are greatly appreciated!

pull a band aid from the medicine cabinet and come up with every feature and benefit you can and convince your interviewer to buy that band aid from you. Don't forget to ask for the order kid!

Ask interviewer what they look for in their band aids/what they like with current band aid and what 3 aspects of their current band aid would make it better, then show him/her your band aid/how the features and benefits will solve their problems, ask if they see how your band aid will help increase patient care and ask for the business. Good luck!

I appreciate you guys taking the time to give me thoughtful responses. I was totally over-thinking this entire presentation. I have been looking up financial reports and scouring through product catalogs trying to identify a Conmed product that I could familiarize myself with in order to sell it without looking like a complete fool. Ha, but a band-aid! I could absoultely sell the hell out of a bandaid! Do you think any visual aids are nescessary? Perhaps a handout? Or would this be a wasted effort?

I also thought about selling myself instead of a particular product. Do you think this is an avenue many candidates will pursue? I want to stand out for all the right reasons.

Don't forget, your focus is not the band-aid, or whatever it is you choose. Your focus is the prospect and what his or her needs are. If you focus on the features and benefits of the band-aid, it's over!
