Conmed Largo Covid-19 update (Important)

This memo is for all at Conmed Largo facility.

Our current Board of Directors, Daniel S. Jonas, Esq., Human Resources, to this date have not issued a directive/protocol to protect what they consider " Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers During Covid-19 Response" They further state that per the DHS Memorandum and as detailed by President Trump's guidance: you have a special responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule".

The facts at Largo are: In the last 90 days Conmed Largo has contracted with PMG to staff our Largo facility to ensure that all projected production requirements are met. This comes at a critical time as the Conmed facility in Anaheim Ca. was closed and relocated to Largo, Fl. We now are experiencing a serious labor shortage due to this decision. The solution was to contract with PMG and bring in hired qualified employees to help sustain product output. Although this would seem to be the solution it is costing the share holders $70 per man hour. Not a bad decision although now with the current state of affairs is it the best decision to continue to bring in contract employees from all over the country without a Covid-19 screening? We continue to bring in PMG talent from, Lousiana, Texas, Virginia to name a few. Although Conmed has covered there ass by issuing suggested social distance requirements, it seems that this was only that. Also let it be noted that all "Unessential Staff" are now working from home with full pay for 45 days. Now I ask? Who are the real "Essential Employees" here?

They aren't here anymore. You're late to the party. They were sent home last week. R&D engineers are not here. They are working from home. We WERE low on production help, but NOW, electable surgeries are suspended worldwide. We aren't far behind in sales. Not yet. If this "scary virus" fear monger continues, then we might see layoffs amongst engineers and cubicle based staff. They make lots of money and don't make product like production does.

ConMed historically always moves against the workers. Layoffs will happen regardless . Company has lost a crap ton of money . They won’t eat the cost , they will just cut the workforce. We are going to have a tuff year.

After all this corona virus bull$#!T blows over, many people around the world will go back to electable surgeries. Then business will be booming. For now, all temps were sent home. And the CMO replacement expensive employees were sent home too. We are down to moving employees from a department with little work to another department that needs help. If they start layoffs, it won't be the crucial people needed in production. Like stated above; it will be the people in the cubicles that seem to have so much extra time to walk around and chit chat. They put nicknames on each other's cubicles and take out cell phones and socialize. ALL DAY LONG. They only have 1 shift for some of these positions. That's how much they're NOT needed.

I agree completely the cubicle people will be the first to go. I assume it would be best to start in Documentation control . They are slackers to the extreme . Especially in labeling that group of people is practically worthless . It would be cheaper and more efficient to outsource .

You are a fucking idiot if if think you get this. Conmed is a for profit for the shareholders company and always has been. You are just a number standing in line awaiting them to show you the door. The employees with advanced education will survive elsewhere. This includes everyone in PMO. They screwed CMO and sadly you guys are next. Do you seriously think that they continue to bring in PMG contractors for no reason. We have some of the most talented trainers in PMO that could have if asked train almost anyone to get us where we needed to be in a short amount of time with local talent. Sadly, no one ever asked and now everyone is paying the price. I cannot blame our HR department for this as the leaders have no concept of what is required to run PMO. And then there is this truth. Our HR department is under the leadership of others and just puppets in the game of shareholder profits to sustain our board of directors lifestyle. I guess the ghosts of the Corsanti family live on in the mindset of our current leaders.

Pathetic. My message was deleted by sensitive mods.

Only people above 70 and those with underlying health conditions should be in isolation. We can spread this pitiful over exaggerated virus around and build immunity to it. It's so rare to hear about a young healthy person dying from it. The media tosses out numbers to scare everyone. The deaths are mostly people over 65. Then there's the fatties and people with respiratory issues (smokers, asthma, exposure to asbestos and harmful airborne agents).
