I was wondering the same thing. I want a newer car also.
I don’t want a “hand me down” vehicle. But, I want to take a look at what’s newly available to have the option.
you are part of the problem here.....self absorbed assholes who are all about themselves. No wonder the matrix team structure is so weak. If you’re out working, you’ll burn through the miles and be in a new vehicle before you know it.

The way it works it that the displaced employee has up to the Termination Date (2 months after the WARN notice) to decide if they want to purchase their car from Wheels. Wheels will send the terminated employee paperwork and price for the car. If the terminated employee does not want to purchase their car, then wheels will pick it up and it will be included in a pool of cars that are up for purchase by others. Or Wheels will sell it at an auto auction.
Genentech will add $3k onto the price to make a little extra profit. They know reps need a car so they will maximize profits.
Total BS. Genentech does not own the cars, Wheels does. The sale is with Wheels and I bought my company car in March. When I went to the Department of Motor Vehicles to purchase the tag in my county/state, the county tag office valued the car at $1800. more than I paid wheels. The sales tax is paid at the county tag office, so they have to provide a blue book value.
That’s totally FALSE. I received my cost. It is expensive and totally over market value. People will be shocked especially if they don’t have the cash.

I only got the basics because I always anticipate a collision where the car will be totaled and I will be out of the extra cash I sunk into a car I don't own. Additionally, you lose your upgrade investment if you are downsized like you are learning. For anyone planning on buying your company cars, remember to take it in for service 2 weeks before you tell Wheels you are going to purchase it. Get everything done, the service managers understand and will help you. I got 4 new tires

my suggestion is if you were notified on Wednesday that you will be displaced, cover the steering wheel with boogers as well as snot all over the controls.
What planet are you on? GNE just let a lot of people go and earlier in the year let all the BOLD employees go. So its not cheating Genentech if Wheels approves for the work to be done. It's Wheels' car, not Genentech's.
Why do people say something is "totally false" or "completely true" ? If something is true or false isn't that enough? It just sounds so overwhelmingly juvenile.
