Company Info

It all depends on which manager you are going to work for at Ceva. West coast you want D.A. and East Coast you want M.D. They are the two with the most experience and are looked at as the leaders of the management team. I believe both have had much larger roles in previous companies so not really sure why they are here. Others are fine but very inexperienced. Next level management is a joke on the East Coast but West Coast has a lot of respect. You have to have a manager to shield you from them, hence why you want the previous two. J.M is under extreme pressure and should have been fired last year. C.W. is good. So the top is good and the bottom good, in between not so much.
Product line is improving. More products/mergers coming, so we are told. If you come you are putting your trust in your manager and C.W., no one else. Reps. made money in 2012 but few did in 2013. New bonus structure and appearance is we can make some money this year. Salaries are very competitive. Hope this helps and who are you interviewing with and when?

I agree 100% on the last reply in terms of East/West Manager, both are great, MD is solid, fair and transparent. I would caution not to believe everything in discussions on commissions though as you may be disappointed in reality once on board. If you are a hustler and have very good relationships with practice managers and Vet's in the territory you are looking to join that will gauge what you will earn. If you are not a hustler and you do not have strong relationships plan on a PIP in about 6-8 months, that's unless you jump ship on your own before then.

True, but let's be fair - JM is a puppet as are other managers/directors at Ceva --Sad! Should JM be replaced, there's no saying things will be any better and unless you go one tier higher ~ good chance things will stay stagnant unfortunately. To be frank, I'm surprised France hasn't already stepped in to save us with bringing on fresh leadership!
Also, need a much more robust pipeline. Everyone on board knows that. Vectra, as good a product it is can only go so far in a competitive marketplace for F&T.

Candidate, if you are also considering alternative companies with a larger portfolio you may want to strongly consider.
