Why is Ventiv recruiting for area manager positions with this company?
Is this a decent place to work and how are the products to sell?
Huge territories but $$ sounds good?

What territory are you interviewing for?

Did you take the DDI test yet and pass it?

Boston. It hasn't gotten that far. I just received a call from a recruiter and wanted to get honest feedback from someone who already works for the company. I have helped others through the years and would appreciate any candid feedback good and bad. How are the products, management, benefits etc.

I took ddi yesterday have not heard back from recruiter; southern territory. If they are sending candidates to Chicago next Wed for f2f, I would think you'd know by tomorrow?

I took ddi last week and heard from recuiter today. Said interviews would most likely be next Thursday in Chicago and may not know for certain until Monday.

Can someone that is an existing rep please give their true feelings on this job. I am not in a good situation and I am a single mom with 3 kids due to a family tragedy and I just cant make another bad job decision. Any input would be so appreciated.

I am going to chicago wed; how large is the current sales force and is this an expansion since it looks like limited amount of openings/large territories? Mine covers half the state.

Here are answers (my good friend works there, and I asked her).

It's a large expansion, nationwide, so they had to bring in Ventiv to assist as they are expanding in most departments.

Great place to work, if the environment is a fit for you. They work hard. Their drugs are in very specialized/orphan status, therefore it's more challenging then most sales opportunities. However, you won't have a manager standing over your shoulder and beating on you after every turn. If you have an entrepurnurial attitude, you will be happy.

Base salary is somewhere around 90 (she wasn't exactly sure), but said bonuses average around $40k/annually.

Hope this helps.

yeah, but at the end of the day, you are still a drug rep...Blacchhh!!! who wants to be a food caterer without even that much respect or dignity...

the drug rep ship has sailed long ago...you will make some decent money, (for awhile) but this gig will end like all drug rep gigs end...you either quit, get fired, or get pushed out when you have stayed too long and get older...

interviewed yesterday; I was told no albumin, even manager appeared surprised at having just been informed of this, just privigen for now and new launch product beginning 2013. Don't bother going thru process unless you live close to interview site/have nothing better to do, and have present territory hospital p&t/formulary connections, as this is their primary requirement.

If you think Pharma Repping is such a terrible industry, then why are you posting on a board abou a pharma rep sales expansion?

Can you just go away? Good lord. This site gets more pathetic by the day.

pharma repping is great when you are in your 20s and 30s...wait until you get into your
40s cochise...

see how well the company treats you at that point...

they want to churn, burn and turn...pharma repping is not a career...you have been warned...

I am in my 40's. So why did CSL just offer me a position? Could it be that I know how to make a sale? I saw the 20s and 30s I was interviewing against. Obviously they want someone with experience, a proven track record and existing relationships. I'm glad the company places value on this and not someone that looks good in a skirt.

Congrats on the new gig...I sincerely do hope it works out for you at CSL...just remember that after the honeymoon period, all pharma gigs sort of turn to shit...

I spent 27 years in the industry, and I am here to tell you that they always go bad in one way or the other...

it is just too corrupt an industry now...
