Hi all,

I was contacted by a recruiter for this- they said the company is in a completely different place than it was a couple years ago and even told me to ignore posts i see online from years ago (concerning).

But they said new owners took over, new products now with the 360 (i believe) field of view that nobody else has. Said there is no competition, lots of money to be made.

Can anybody chime in on the latest?

Same people who started the company are the same people that still run the company. No change there so that information is incorrect.

No competition? In what way? For our disposable quota and pathology quota, there are numerous players in the market. If the recruiter stated that there is no competition in those arenas, that is also incorrect information,

As for Fuse, the recruiter is correct when saying that no one else has a 330 degree view but incorrect when stating that there is no other competition. Olympus has probably 70-80% market share with Fuji/Pentax taking up the rest. I would say that we might have 1-3% market share with Fuse. We are placing approximately 15-20 units domestically per quarter.

Lots of money to be made? What is "lots"? I think last year we had five or six reps that hit their number? So that is about 10% of the sales force that hit quota.

Speaking with people who have been here for several years. The pressure has increased with us being on Wall St and the expectations to sell Fuse so I'm not sure if I would agree when the recruiter told you that this place is different.

was contacted as well. But based on these posts and redunkulous banter amongst reps (which is comical) def going to pass. This company sounds terrible. Complete sh!t show

The recruiter also probably told you everyone was making $200K also. 4 reps hit all 3 buckets last year. Only 1 or 2 the year before. The company is in a completely different place.....a worst place. If you need a job take it. If you don't...then don't come here. The company probably won't be around in 2 years.

There is no family-work balance here. Some territories you will travel 3 or 4 nights a week. If you are in a demo then Monday-Friday. Depending on manager, you will possibly be micro-manage to death with Project-Funnel, call reports, weekly conference calls etc.

You will have to drive a truck or SUV because you drive a the system around all the time. The depreciation on your SUV will not be made up by the $600/month if you have a large territory. By the way they tax that so its really less than $400.

This company is very clickish. If you are a Boston Sci rep then you are in. No reason to prove yourself. One recruiter loves to tell a story, you can get promoted in less than 2 yrs. The one person that did that, was a Boston Sci rep that was in the click. He currently has been kicked out of several offices. He has lost deals for the company because he comes across as rude and nuts. Clinics even have called the home office on him....yet he is still a manager. A lot of his reps won't let them in their demos now. Its that bad.

I have had recruiters call me since I left and ask what was going on here. Because people they place here....hate it. Some great recruiters have refuse to place reps here now because how bad it is here.

Haha! No recruiters are calling you for feedback on how they should place candidates.

You don't think that recruiters contact past EC reps on LinkedIn to get their opinion on the company? You're wrong. I recently left EndoChoice and had two recruiters and multiple candidates who were/are in the interview phase with EndoChoice contact me to get my opinion.

Your best bet would be to reach out to the reps who have recently left and get their thoughts. We have had reps who left that had tenure, hit forecast, sold Fuse, etc. Ask them what they think. They will give you the good, bad, and ugly. Don't believe the recruiter. They just want their placement fee and will tell you whatever is needed to keep you interested.

This company is a slow motion train wreck....

Just goes to show how out of touch you really are or how long you have been out of field. Recuriters call former employees all the time. Especially when their candidates start withdrawing from the interview process because of feedback they get. Some recruiters care about their reputation and don't want to place reps in bad situations.

It's also funny out of that post. The only thing you choose to argue is recruiters calling.

That poster was correct on everything.
How many people hit there buckets in 2015 (hint it was only DA)? 2016? How many reps actually make $200K? Heck....How many make over $150K outside JM region? Most territories you will travel a lot. Especially during a demo. There is no work/home life balance. Your survey every year shows that. Yet no one does anything about it. Funny this past year, you try to spin it as everyone is happy with out showing the results of the survey.
CS sold one system and then suddenly he's management material. He never sold path as far I know.

Everything was truthful in that post.

Like someone else just said. Call current or former employees and ask. You will find out real quick.

Based on your comments, I'm guessing that Jeff Stewart was the recruiter? He tends to post over and over again about how a manager was promoted in less than two years and you're going to make $200K in the first year.
