Company Car?

I've been on 2 contracts. The first car was an Impala... The second was a Malibu. Both cars matched up with what the direct reps from the client company drove, so I think it depends.

You are full of it.

My current Ventiv company car is a Cadillac CTS. Loaded. Before that it was a Mercedes GLK crossover. All the docs wonder how I get to drive a nicer car than they do. Other reps think I must be a company exec or another doc.

See how easy it is to lie and make shit up on here.

Why would this matter to you? "Look at me, look at what I drive as a company car! I drive an Audi, so the perception you should have of me is that I make great money in pharma sales! In reality, though, I'm (secretly) delusional... I make about 50k a year, so there's no possible way I could afford the payments on an Audi." Insert whatever car u prefer here, but you get the picture. It's a car, idiot, no matter the make or model. The least of your concerns should be about the model car you'll drive. I'm guessing you're a youngster with little/no direction in life.

If they offered you a 1992 Jetta you'd take it and drive it if you had half a brain. You're paying under $200/month for gas, repairs, insurance and the opportunity to drive your company auto from wherever you reside to essentially wherever your heart desires... all for under $200 a month. Get a freaking clue.

It depends on the contract and how much the client is willing to spend. Impala, Seabring, Equinox, Escape, Jeep Patriot, Sentra. The previous poster is right for under 200.00 a month gas, service and insurace covered who really cares.

I realize it is free and that is why I don't care at ALL what it is. It's just a curiousity question. That's it!! Geez....

Thanks for the few that posted serious answers.

Yes you get a car. Who the hell cares about a car when you dont have any money? I drive around in circles all day dreaming of having a few dollars to go in a few places. You can drive up and down the highway and watch all the successful people on their way to work. Then go back to the trailer and eat biscuits. Yes you get a car. Thats about all. My car sucks at best and most of them do.

Reps on the Novartis Consumer Products contract have Ford Fusions, Malibus, and Ford Escape for snowbelt states. We have Gas cards and all expenses paid.

Dm's have Ford Taurus's and I think Impala's

Considering we are all OTC products, that's not a bad deal!

Does anyone know what the car is for the Amylin contract?

It does depend on the contract but also other variables like previous posters said. If you are in the snowbelt you would indeed get an additional choice. You may get what is left in inventory but if they don't have enough then you could get a new car selection. It all depends. Overall the car selections have not been bad. Ive had better choices then when I was employed for the manufacturer although the bi-weekly stipen was slightly higher but not exuberent. It's still much cheaper than we pay out of pocket for gas these days. Best of luck to all that are interviewing and Congrats to those that get offers!
