Commercial Organization Restructure

Good authority source tells me its going to be a significant number let go. Some teams almost completely decimated. Worry if you are in health systems and managed care. Only about a 20 to 25% hit coming to Latuda.

Good luck everyone. Buckle up.

Why wouldn't they lay us off? We are not in the field selling and we probably won't be allowed back into offices until next year. I'm surprised we haven't been let go already.

You are pathetic. The fact that you are most likely not at this company and trolling this board is very sad. I actually kind of feel bad for you that you have no life.

Completely false...there is no truth to it.

Ask any commercial VP (TG, MP, SC, JJJ, BT or ER) and they will tell you it is not about layoffs.

There will be no layoffs at this time. Sunovion will graciously grant a full quarter to its employees in the wake of covid-19. If the quarantine remains in July and into August the safety net will be removed and layoffs will enter picture. Let’s hope it all ends by June and all will remain good.

You people are morons...lmao. Sure, let's fire a bunch of tenured people only to have to rehire and train a bunch of greenies a month or two later. Riiiiiight.

Who is the moron? Will there be a layoff now. NO! If this covid-19 turns into a long term thing, meaning 5/6 months and beyond it’s foolish to deny reality of a downsize. Nobody saying entire sales force will be cut. But could there be 15-20% recuction 100% yes.

I agree. One side of this thread you have the axe grinder saying massive layoffs today and the other side you have the company drone saying no way will there ever be cuts here. Look the initial support by co is great but it won’t last forever. There will be a tipping point if this situation turns into a chronic situation.

It's not like the company is losing money right now. Sales are actually UP, for now, because of the higher demand for anti-depressant therapy. Also, I don't see the stay at home orders lasting 5 or 6 more months. A lot of offices are already opening back up next week. If I had to guess, we'll be back in the field June 1, if not sooner.

For some reason, people on here just get a hard-on by being all doom and gloom, constantly warning about layoffs. There is, at any given time, at least one thread running on here about it. Get a new hobby. Or better yet, go do your job.

In a few non-commercial areas, there’s been some early signs and projects that clearly indicate management is assessing the current workforce, who is doing what and how much.

A lot of signs point to potentially some small cuts across the board closer to the fall. once you’ve been through this a few times, you know the signs and the feel. The sad thing is, this was likely in the works before Covid, but covid will be the excuse. I am going to start looking and applying once the Covid restrictions are lifted or eased.

Aside from the fear of cuts, long-term it’s becoming increasingly clear DSP has some form of desire to roll their sprawl of companies together, but they don’t seem to know how to make it happen in a coherent manner. Since mid-to-late 2019, it’s clear they’re intending to “wind-down” Sunovion to a degree over the next few years. The focus is going to be on commercializing APL, run trials and eventually commercialize SEP-856 and maybe SEP-4199, and see what materializes for maybe 1-2 of the current Phase 1’s. It doesn’t seem like much is going on with the long-promised BD deals, especially post Roivant deal. Do you need a sizable R&D operation in late 2021 or 2022 with SEP-856 and maybe SEP-4199 in Phase 3’s in maintenance stage with not much behind it? No, definitely not and that is only 18 months away.

The future and funding seems to be with the Roivant companies they acquired. Look at the funds they are giving each of those companies- they are all publicly posted. If you add those funds to the initial purchase price, additional funds to come for their own pipelines, and knowing there’s going to be another 5 “Vants” added on later that will need similar investments ...this was a massive deal and a wholesale shift away from Sunovion-dominated and Sunovion centered company.

LOL, so true. And so sad that in a time of such stress for the entire world, that someone would get joy out of trying to make that worse.

Therapy my friend... making others feel bad doesn’t actually make you feel better, you just think it does...
And denying the truth and lashing out at someone who does know what coming will not save you from being laid off. Accept it.

Good read. Finally a post of substance on here.
