Come On Man... When's it gonna end?

Just wait til Actos goes generic all the free loaders will have to start working. It’s what the draught has exposed at the bottom of the Mississippi, as the herd is thinned out all the crap starts sticking out, nowhere to hide.

Nice try, Buttercup. We are launching 4 drugs in next 18 months. You're full of BS!

OK. Let's do the math. Lost Prevacid which was a little over $4 billion a year in sales (close to half of total Takeda gross income) and cut about 27% of the sales force. Then alo wasn't approved. Then they cut another 14% of the company (total reduction from full staffing before Prevacid went generic 33%). Then Actos which was ddoing about another $4 Billion a year in sales goes generic. Now you have lost close to 89% of the co's gross sales and only laid off a grand total of 33%. Unless those 4 "new product" launches can ramp up to $8 Billion a year in sales pretty quickly I see another 25% to 33% of cuts across the board. Alo will never be close to making a billion dollars a year if it is ever launched. The other products, they will struggle to gain launch traction yet alone be anywhere close to even $200 million a year products.

Cuts have to be in the future. That or purchasing another company and that means even more cuts. Remember what happened when we bought abbott's half of TAP. CUTS!!

I'm sure the chopping block is out at the home office. Just a matter of when and how many.

Damn, hard to argue with that logic. Most know we can't keep going on with the large number of reps we have here. Just hoping they keep us all through a launch or two before more chopping begins.

Definitely going to be some reduction in force, only upper corporate has a general idea of when they are going to pull the trigger. The longer it takes to get the new drugs approved (if they get approved) the deeper the cuts will be. Anyone you see who comes on here claiming everything is okay so just settle down & keep selling & bringing in the profits for the corporate bigwigs are most likely DMs trying to keep their troops from jumping ship until Takeda is ready to dump them, besides those DMs know if they can keep their district together the DMs chances of a bigger bonus are better & if their sales results look good they could be one of the lucky DMs who get retained. At least you should be consoled to know that not everyone is going to be cut, probably around 1 out of 3 will be let go so those are pretty good odds that 2/3s of us will still be around after the bloodbath, we just all hope we are not the 1 released, but one of the other 2 kept. These are the facts & nobody can change them, but I plan to do whatever is necessary sales wise to be one of the 2 out of 3 retained.
