Colorado going direct

We just found out that we are going direct after NY. It is about time the leadership is a mess and actually there is no leadership here.
We are going direct. Erickson is out and Deron will be our new soft leader. Too bad Steve walks away with a little buy-out he does nothing but rides his bike in vail.

For those areas that have gone direct how has it been? Talking to the local spine and trauma reps they seem happy and the benefits sound great. I'm in a different territory but we hear rumors every now and then. I'd trade some income for a better retirement match (which I do my own SEP now) and the pension sounds interesting.

How can this be? JJG just told everyone he's committed to the distributorship model....
JJG has no credibility and is a lier! Never believe this hatchet man and his disgusting bunch of yes men he calls his management team. Get yourself a good lawyer, show all your surgeons the dishonest emails and text messages you've received from corporate. Do not sign anything until you show everything to your legal representation. You will be pressured into signing what they put in front of you quickly. DO NOT DO IT! Build a wall around your customers and be prepared to take it away from this sorry bunch of fools!

Pretty sure he was being facetious...

At this point what territories are direct? May be easier to just call a few reps there to see how the transition has been.

Distributor rep here. Can anyone who has already gone direct, describe the benefits package in detail? Besides the obvious, healthcare, 401k. Car, pension, etc? Thanks.

Everyone gets a different deal based on how much business you can walk away with. If you inherited docs and just cover cases expect a base salary and to cover other territories.

If you actually sell and generated business they will build a comp plan for you individually. Whatever you made last year in total they will take and create a plan including base salary, benefits, car allowance and commission to hit that previously years number. So depending on your situation your check will be drastically lower, but you have other compensation that they say make up for it. There is pet insurance tho!!!!! No bullshit.

Also depending on your distributor you may not be allowed to sell any side products if they conflict with j&j.

Overall not bad, but not great.

Would we then be considered J&J employees, or W2 reps through the distributor?
