CNS or PAIN who has it worst?

I realize some territories will benefit from this but many will not. When Quintiles had Nucynta with a small sales force they had many more targets due to large territories to help grow volume. Now there are 2-3 pain reps in an area, so with 60% goal its gonna be rough if they give crazy goals.

CNS has it great because they get to cash in on the pain reps who have been doing well or starting to grow Gralise! I feel bad for the pain team who will lose Gralise and they are ranked well on Create Great. I enjoy selling our drugs but what is hurting Nucynta/ER is poor access with Medicade and Work Comp because Depomed does not care when setting goals against generics.

Are you insane? Everyone in this Company knows that CNS gets the short end of the stick every time. Extremely large territories, full responsibility for a product (Gralise) that has very few resources behind it and absolutely no Medicare D coverage. Many of us CNS reps were brought over from quintiles because we were extremely successful selling nucynta and are now basically losing it. CNS reps have been shafted from the beginning with goals, and universe issues. We're officially the orphan sales team.
 






And furthermore my pain reps benefitted from Me selling Gralise. In our district, the pain reps weren't successful at all cultivating new prescribers. So your argument that the CNS team would somehow benefit from the Pain teams Gralise business is ludicrous. All the Gralise business is Already CNS.
 






CNS has huge territories compared to Pain. CNS has to overnight, Pain doesn't. CNS is solely responsible for Gralise and Cambia, and has 20% goal for nucynta. Pain only has sole responsibility for zipsor, which accounts for a whopping 10% of their goal.

Both CNS and Pain get the same salary.

I think it's clear that CNS is worse off.
 












Long time successful pain rep here who got dumped into CNS last may without so much as a say in the matter, and I can 100 percent attest to the fact that CNS is treated like a contract sales force. Hell id venture to guess that there are contract forces out there that have it better than the CNS force. I've never been so unhappy in my life with a job.
 






CNS absolutely gets screwed every time. Now we have to clean up the mess of losing the Gralise business to Horizant. Maybe if those Einstein's at corporate had any strategic business capabilities this wouldn't of happened in the first place. Gigantic territories and held to the same call metrics as pain. And the brainwashed DM's just give you the corporate line "well that's the company's expectation". Blah, blah, blah...it'll all change again in POA3 when they figure out POA2 didn't work.
 






And we have to figure out how to GROW Gralise using the 160 targets we're allotted in a territory that was once 2, 3 or even 4 Gralise territories. All the while our counterparts are blessed with 600+ doctors that they get credit for. You might as well say they already get credit for total dirt. And we only get credit for the tiny number of providers in our "universes". CNS set up to fail once again.

you get a product that has been established for almost 5 years and IS on Med D(you idiot!) as well as the advantage of being able to literally give it away with simple scripts

Why can't corporate trust CNS to establish their own universes and grow the business, I mean after that's what they're getting paid for. It will be tough for them.
 






The CNS territories are too large to be sole promoter of any product. Smaller territories result in more frequency and better sales hands down. They need to factor in drive time & wait time in offices, it's a reality. Large territories aren't successful for growing products. Small & more frequency is the key.

Couldn't have said it better myself. It's an impossibility unless they change things a lot.
 






This is 100% a thinning tactic. With clear separation of products home office can see who was coat tail riding and who was driving business. With a reported Q1 loss to wall street on 5/5/16 and a new VP of Sales get ready for future restructuring and a thinning of the herd.
