CML hiring at Genoptix

you really got a call from a recruiter and you're asking CP to give you info. Are you an idiot or just afraid to ask a recruiter a question or simply a wuss who couldnt get an answer?
actually- you would be perfect for the CML job!

Thank you. Finally someone speaks something that is intelligent. If I consider this job, is this legal? Why is this not inducement as I am told the test is given out for free? Should I be concerned about long term gig? Thanks for your answer in advance.

I have been contacted by a recruiter for the CML expansion and would also appreciate any insight anyone can offer with regard to the comments above as well as any other information you can offer. Thank you!

Do yourself a favor and walk away. Genoptix is a joke. It's hardly a sales job handing out vouchers for a free test. The company will pay between 65 - 90. Offices have been suspicious of the illegal data sharing between the cdc's and their Novartis counterparts.

if the fact the National Sales manager is nothing but an airhead cheerleader and reports to a german doc who has no concept as a sales vp of what it takes to compete -- every year sales results are worser than the year before -- welocme aboard!

How would you classify a job where you give a voucher for free testing? It's not really considered sales if you're giving it away.

The OIG will come to there senses and soon realize the shadiness of this operation. Genoptix has already opened the door to investigation with all the over testing and over charging. Don't believe it take a look at an EOB.

Not any different than the "patient programs" pharma offers, I would think.

Altho, with the emphasis being on assisting the pharma side of Novartis I hope they do not pay you folks on revenue for that product line.

To answer your question:

CML reps are brought in at 90-110k-- commission 50k at plan

DSC reps are brought in at 75-95k total comp--- commission 80k at plan.

Key to both plans is the commission part. Due to baselines, 150% to plan can be a vastly different dollar growth ammount over quota.

Oh and don't forget... If you make too much, or grow too much, you will be "baselined" meaning you will most likely have your best financial year your first year at GXDX.
