Clinical therapies salary

It depends, salary ranges based on potential in the territory 0-45k. Car allowance it 450.

It's all over the map and there is no rhyme or reason.
I know some reps who tried to get higher bases starting out due to years of experience who could just get 45K then I know other reps with little experience getting 60K base starting out in biologics.
Tiny car allowance which is outdated. No credit card. Small budget for expenses. Most reps spend money out of their own pocket...kind of like teachers have to do.

Throw all logic out the window.
When you get into your territory, be ware because the previous reps will have had cherry picked it and stolen some of the accounts... Be WARE.

You will start with a little salary and have to earn the commissions. (guess that's why somebody laughed)

Mostly a commission job. Don't buy a new car because you will not get much of an allowance and will trash it very quickly. Company really should provide company car or get up with the times on car allowances for those that aren't 1099. Skimpy on the salary and expenses but if you work, really, really hard you can make some decent money.

Health benefits are not that good, compared to most companies in the same sector.
But it's a job and pretty rewarding product.

If your looking for upward advancement, you will be frustrated. Very few management and marketing jobs, etc. Many positions are hired from the outside. You really make more money as a rep anyway but most burn out after 4 years with no where much to go.

It's a great stepping stone for selling other DME and capital equipment or going into Endo or OR sales.

Really bad car allowance here for reps who get a lot of revenue for the company and aren't 1099. Either make us all 1099 with higher percentages or give us a decent car and expense account. That's how many of us feel, anyway.

Competitors offer clinics direct purchasing and we do not. Make sure you are not getting one of those areas with strong buy and bill accounts.

Joint Fluid therapy product is losing competitive edge because many private insurance companies are only paying for Single or Three Injection products. Next year will be a blood bath in this market because our product is a Five Injection.

rumor has it that territories are going to be much smaller, so people fear that the monetary opportunities will not be as good as the past. however, if you really think about it with smaller territories to focus on many people will bring in the same amount of orders and be able to focus on a more manageable group of prescribers. right now, some reps have 80 prescribers and some reps have over 200. need an outside company to allocate around the same number of prescribers per rep.

we really do need a larger sales force because our competitors have us greatly outnumbered.
However, the company needs to increase salaries across the board for all the extra work we do in processes, etc. Also due to all the driving we do for revenue/patient care we either need higher car allowances or they should provide company cars.

very cheap division, in my and others opinion. needs an overhaul.

increase your own salary by selling more....after all, this is a sales job. Just an idea.

I kinda agree with the previous poster. at least getting a bit more in salary for all the administrative work that keeps increasing....as well as an up to date car allowance. This job entails a bit more than just "selling".

The questions the original poster asks are silly and show little understanding of the medical device industry, and interviewing in general.
1. Everything is negotible, salary, car, expenses.
2. Clinical Therapies cares about what you bring to the table. They don't care if you are eager, witty, look great in heels, etc.... They want to see you can make money. PROVE IT.
3. Show them you deserve the position, that you will give them nightmares if they don't hire you and you have a chance.

That's funny. You're the one that wants a salary on a commissioned sales job. Sounds like not only are you not too bright, you are definitely over your head in this field. Do yourself and everyone a favor and leave.

It's not just a commissioned sales job, as the previous poster alluded to. You got sales reps doing a ton of paperwork and putting a lot of miles on their personal cars for such an outdated car allowance. Commission rate is pretty low when you look at the fact that a sell takes longer and costs more than to manufacture and assemble the device. The cost is mostly in sales, prepping the order for Insurance Companies and Internal Reimbursement.

To say somebody is "over their head" and to ask them to "leave" is a typical closed minded and cowardly response to the poster who makes a very valid point. Many companies pay their reps a mid range salary for their administrative tasks as well as commissions. And most companies have a car allowance around $600 plus a company credit card for gas and expenses. If we sold Exogen as Stock and Bill, one could see just a Commission but the rep assumes the tasks that go along with it which cuts into sales time or personal time.

Better yet, split the territories and do away with assistants. This job does not warrant itself for "assistants" . It's not a difficult job, just time consuming with the paperwork and fittings. Split the high volume territories. Tired of seeing some reps get assistants that don't do the volume that other reps without assistants are generating.

Time to split some of these territories with over 150 customers.
