Let a few go each month and it is not called a layoff. B&L does their workers wrong when they do this. The assumption of the future employers is they got fired as B&L does not announce a layoff. These people then have a hard time finding work.
Have the guts to call it like it is a-- layoff. Then the people get severance and are not labelled as being fired as they can point to a layoff notification from B&L as the reason for their termination.
