Just trying to break int the field, and applied. Got an email asking for more into, then another asking to schedule a phone interview, which was today. I felt like it went well...Recruiter said its a Japanese company, but I didn't understand her whe she said the name. Hoping to be called for f2f. Anyone know anything about this contract? Can anybody tell me what a CNE job entails? Anything about a ballpark for pay/bonus? I've been unemployed for awhile, but I've got a BSN and years of experience in both critical care AND mental health, including high level mgt and training. Anything you could tell me would be helpful! Thanks!

Yes! I can tell you to RUN from this company and from contracts. Think outside of the box if you do not want a Clinical Nursing Position any longer. Most companies (Pharmaceutical and Device)want you to have some sales experience as well as a Nursing Background. If you have both of these things, you are very fortunate, if not, most will hold out for the right candidate. You can try Hospice, many will hire a Nurse Liason without sales experience. Also, try Clinical Educator. I am not sure what area you live in, in my area there are more positions than applicants for these types of jobs. I can tell you from experience that you are MUCH better off taking a Nursing position than a contract position with a Pharmaceutical Company. Nursing generally pays more (My Base @ Publicis was 62,000 with VERY low commission, Nurses in my area are paid $32.00-50/hr!!! )I realize that you would have to possibly work week-ends and shifts, however, the stability is worth it! I know that hospitals are BEGGING for Nurses with experience. I get calls from recruiters ALL over the country! Take a stable Nursing job and continue to look for your new position. DO NOT take a contract, you will not have any job satisfaction nor will this help your resume!
GOOD LUCK!!!

Thanks for the input. The job looks like something I'd love to do, and would be good at. I don't have it in me to go back to traditional nursing....been in admin and training for more than 10 years! Need a change! If you don't mind, what's the pay and bonus structure like?

Hi,
I'm interested to find out if you got the job! Also, I had seen that posting, but when to apply for it, it had 'expired.' I'm trying to find the name of the contact person that is hiring for these Clinical Nurse Educators positions- by chance could you send it to me? I want to see if they are still looking to hire in my area.

BTW, I think working as a Clinical Nurse Educator is a great way to go- we get to use our Nursing experience in a new way. Flexible and fun! Also, pharmaceutical companies are going towards utilizing contract sales forces. PM me I may have a couple other leads for you especially if you have critical care background.

Thanks so much!

I was told the salary and bonus hadn't been finalized. The $750 car allowance is what the recruiter told me. Anyone else going to meet the Otsuka people? I'd love to know the salary and bonus as well. The person who did the f2f interview said this was a brand new program for them, so there may not be past nurse educators at Publicis.
