Yep. I'm not with Circassia, but here's my story: took me a year to get back into the industry after being laid off last year. I've got 15 years industry experience - specialty rep, account management, etc. Another new guy on my team with same story. He was in managed markets for over a decade. RAM positions being eliminated all over the industry now in favor of NAM's (Insurance companies ridding themselves of regional accounts and just going national). Even with RAM experience, won't hire unless you have NAM experience. The guy is now back to being a rep and his compensation is way down, but he's happy to have a job after spending most of the year unemployed. Reality is the industry is shrinking and losing more jobs every year than it adds. It's only going to be more difficult to hang on in this industry in the years ahead. Pharma rep jobs are well-paid Temp jobs now.Anyplace could be worth it if you have a family to feed. Your applications will receive more consideration if you are employed. I just interviewed and the two managers were shocked that I am out of work. They have no understanding of the current job market.
