Chris Begley 'Retires'

Wahaaaaaaahhhaaaaaaaa -- hilarious. I believe he was "forced" to resign (now he is officially retired and moving to Florida). I saw him doing the President Nixon wave with a peace sign waving to the crowd as he stepped off of his private jet. What a crook!

Remember that really strange e-mail that Chris Begley sent out about the guy in Salt Lake who was embezzling? We all know that Chris was forced to retire from the Chairman of the Board position and we all know he will never go to court for creating the mess he created and then profiting richly from it. My question is how is he any different from the guy in Salt Lake from an ethics standpoint?

Answer: He was the CEO/Chairman of the board.

Maybe he just wants to spend a little time with the family before prison bars may be involved.

The complaint accuses the Company and certain officers and directors of violations of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 in connection with the Company's failure to disclose both that Hospira suffered from extensive quality control issues which undermined the viability of Project Fuel, (Harwood Feffer LLP 2011)

:)

Question= Can the interrogatories and documentation from a Civil case be used to build a possible Criminal case?

I suggest people inform themselves of the SEC. Pay close attention to the name(s) included in SEC filings.

Evaluation of disclosure controls and procedures. The Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Christopher B. Begley, and Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer, Thomas E. Werner, evaluated the effectiveness of Hospira’s disclosure controls and procedures (as defined in Rules 13a-15(e) or 15d-15(e) under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934) as of the end of the period covered by this report, and concluded that Hospira’s disclosure controls and procedures were effective.
