Cheating the numbers

Ista data is constantly manipulated. The CVS lie is only a small piece. Compare your sales figures to those of competitive sales representatives and you will be shocked.

Every pharma job is justified through bullshit numbers. Not only is there the CVS lie, there is also the Wal-Mart/Sam's lie, and the mom and pop pharmacy lie. We "pay" for IMS data that is inaccurate at best. We get credited for rx's from oph, opt, and allergy...based on zip code...bullshit. there is no way that it can be tracked that accurately.

I have an idea. Why don't we worry less about inaccurate numbers and just not buy them from IMS. Lets rely on our own trade sales numbers and track how much product is actually being distributed to pharmacies in our areas. Then we could save money by not paying IMS for bogus data and spend the money promoting our products again.

It makes no sense to spend money on IMS when we could take that money to spend on lunches and speaker programs.

By the way, my best friend is the Allergan rep in another state. I got her numbers and compared them to the Ista rep in the exact same geography. Guess what? Yep the Ista numbers were one third the volume for Bepreve that she showed. Incredible!

The CVS issue is not a lie. I worked for large pharma Q3, Q4 2010 & Q1 2011 when CVS non-reporting became public issue. Several pharma companies shared this with their reps too. Some folks in my district had to repay bonus money due to this issue. Some made money.

Most sales ops folks admit (in private) that controlling IC budgets and limiting payouts are important tasks. Stinks for reps, but true.

Yes chicken little every thing is wrong and everything is to cheat you
Thats why all companies are In busy, to cheat you

Lord, grow up and learn business and then talk

Ok, if you are a rep (which I don't think you are) then go back in your IMS workbook and look how your numbers have changed compared to what was recently reported then tell me how dumb I am and how I don't know what I'm talking about.

Just keep your "blinders" on and when you get blind sided by this whole thing I'll say "I told you so".

The big question here is...If ISTA has nothing to hide then why won't they make a statement on the whole CVS issue? Everyone knows it happened but when the data folks don't address it or want to talk about it, it makes things a lot more suspicious.

Isn't it funny how the best cash prices for our products are at CVS. You do the math. This company is cutting back on everything. What makes people think they wouldn't manipulate the numbers to save even more money on commission payout.
