Does anyone else feel that chatrick seems like a mortician, his dead pan scripted talks make feel like I am at a funeral! Problem is I don’t know whose funeral it is? So many people leaving oncology and he won’t address it. He needs to allow hq employees to work remotely without fear of repercussions. Dave needs to bring in somebody with a pulse.
 












How else would you suggest they measure the brilliance of project north star?

As for Chatrick the dullard, he isn’t going anywhere. Despite his utter lack of charisma, personal warmth, talent, skills or abilities as it pertains to leading people, he’s right where Dave needs him to be. Chatrick is Dave’s useful idiot.

Chatrick was brought in to replace the previous dynamic, engaging and competent leader of the US oncology business in part because he’s not a threat to Dave’s ego.

Chatrick and his incompetent figurehead/double diversity HR head can’t go 30 seconds without mentioning inclusion and diversity no matter the topic of conversation. She enables Chatrick to ignore obvious ethics violations by senior leaders sparing Dave the need to make difficult decisions, especially when he’d have to do so on those who check one or more diversity boxes. This allows Dave to continue virtue signaling his wokeness.

Chatrick has looked the other way for nearly two years regarding the unethical and inappropriate relationship between DC and KL (if you know, you know. And if you don’t know then you are seriously clueless), thereby relieving Dave of the trouble of having to actually believe in and act upon the do the right thing and ethical workplace happy talk AZ espouses. Those values clearly come second to being as woke as possible for him.

And BTW, look at the disgrace that DC’s organization has become under Chatrick. Good people who were recruited to AZ and we’re given huge salaries are leaving her team and AZ in droves because of her oncology incompetence and lack of leadership skills. Think about it: she is so toxic that the lure of a great salary and multiple best in class products and indications are not enough to keep people from leaving. She remains in role only because she’s a double diversity employee and because of what she does with and to KL. Wokeness above competence is what Dave incentivizes and it’s what Chatrick is giving him.

Chatrick will be here until Dave replaces Pascal. (Sorry BBU people, this is no longer a primary care company with an oncology team. It’s an oncology company with some nice primary care products. Whoever your metrics managing leaders administrators are will not be given a chance to mess up Oncology like those before Pascal did). Then the next head of the OBU will quickly realize that Chatrick should never have been hired and will move him out or into some meaningless global role like they just did with KM (who also looked the other way instead of doing the right thing.)
