Car choices for Oncology Reps

Hello:
I am interviewing for an Oncology position and was wondering what the car choices are. I've heard primary care Reps don't have a choice but whatever the company gives them. Are there any choices of SUVs? Thanks in advance!

From my understanding you get what you get the first time around in any of the divisions. If you’re in a snow belt territory, you have a higher chance of an SUV. When you hit the mileage requirements, the next order window you get a choice.

Pay/retirement plan good here but Merck has never offered decent cars! I've even seen Directors driving stripped down Altimas and Forresters. Most likely you will get the latter and you are allowed to pay for options like leather, sunroof, etc. Then again, why put lipstick on a pick. Aside from the Subaru I think the Rogue is still around for the snow belt. Merck is soooo cheap I have had friends charged extra per month if they select the stripped down rogue, and that's without all wheel drive.

If you are concerned about a car then you should look at biotech. I do know that managers at Biogen, Genentech and Amgen drive Audis, Volvos, Benz, etc. They also get RSU's vs. stock options and their bonuses are much, much higher. Unsure if you are posting for a rep or manager job.

Good luck.

I am a hospital rep and drive a fully loaded Subaru (ie Premium with moon sunroof). What do you mean by "stripped down"?

Merck does not offer a sunroof unless YOU pay for it or you inherited a car where a fool paid for it. These 175 horsepower slacker cars go 0-60 in the 9 second plus range, total pos. Even my kids little Civic gets to 60 in a wee over 6 secs. Gutless lezie car, good in the snow? Yeah, I'll give it that.

Point is Merck is taking in truckloads of cash and cheap out on the perks. Speed isn't everything but shit, give us some better options. Fleet must consider safety, price and gas mileage, I get it. However, most models now are 2 liter turbos that are quick and get the same gas mileage as the lezbaru.

Merck cars suck azzz....

my first Merckmobile was a 79 Chevy Monte Carlo with a 455 CI engine. It might get 12-15 mpg, but it would fly. You could not pick options like a vinyl top but you could pick your engine and mother Merck would pick up the tab, no problems.

Your soy boy kid gives blow jobs in the rice burner Civic?

Actually you might not get a car at all. Merk has decided that since we have so many people selling the same drug that it would save money if just one person gets the car and you can all carpool to drop off your lunch. Does the Subaru come standard with a rainbow flag and coexist stickers or do we need to order those separately?
