Car allowance???

PT offers a car allowance of $600 plus $.19 per mile. I've always had a company car so I don't know how good/bad this is. Seems pretty decent to me. For those of you that have dealt with having to get your own car any advice would be appreciate. Was wondering if leasing or buying was a better option. Thanks again.

This is pretty average, definitely on the good side. I would never lease, you're not going to come out ahead. My advice is to buy a used but dependable car. Think Honda, Nissan, etc, something you can run the miles up on and not have to worry about things going wrong.

Gotcha. I appreciate the input.
