car allowance question

What do you mean mileage is prorated? Are you paid by actual miles (so many cents per mile) or do they pay straight out for the actual gas you use (reimbursed on expense report)? I ask as obviously the cost of gas is getting up there and it appears territories are pretty large.

"Prorated" means that there is a variable number (could be 20 cents per mile one month, then 23 the next) that changes monthly/quarterly based on price of fuel. Runzheimer is, or least was the vendor who administrated the program.

You should be much more concerned with management's levellack of skill. I've never met anyone who thinks so much of himself and so little of others as GT.

This repsonse is so spot on. You can read on this board what is going on in this company. This place is so small that anything written on this board is the truth. You should not be concerned about pennies per mileage but more with who leads this company and how you will be treated and more likely lose your job anyway. I have never met a VP who goes around and brags about how is house is paid off and then wrongly fires people on a daily basis with no regards, and then continues to brag about his financial status. Mean.

yes the car allowance is more like the $500 per month unless you are in a few specific states. You will be responsible for all repairs, gas, insurance, car washes, and get about $0.19 per mile give or take.

so basically if it snows, you will stay home.

if you have no appointments, you will stay home.

you will only wash your car once per month, for the 2 days when your boss is with you
