Cancelled Phone Interview?

Is Eli Lilly in the practice of cancelling phone interviews after they have scheduled them? I received an email last week requesting a phone interview and I had one scheduled today. I prepared and waited by the phone and I never received the call. I proceeded to contact the telephone number provided and was told that they tried to reach me and that the call was blocked. They rescheduled my interview for later this week and suggested that I call my phone company to make sure that there is no block on my home phone which I did and was told that this should not have been a problem. My cell phone number is also listed on my resume. Tonight I received another email stating that the position is no longer available and my phone interview has been cancelled. I was excited about this interview as I have always considered Eli Lilly to be at the top of my list of pharmaceutical companies that I would want to work for. I'm sure I am giving myself away but that is irrelevant because I never plan to submit my resume for a position with Eli Lilly again. I consider this very unprofessional and will gladly take my experience elsewhere. Thanks anyway!

Well your first mistake was putting Lilly at the top of your list. The mighty have fallen to uncharted depths. No leadership, bad hires, no direction.

It used to be one of the best but now........................jail time would probably be more fitting for some of the chosen ones.

It is possible that the Supervisor you would be working with got the stick. Therefore, you position was dispensable. I am glad you are not part of Lilly. If you could go to school, learn about biomolecules...cheap chemical drugs are no more...There is technological revolution no pharma has heard of...will in essence nullify their existence for ever...you watch --- next 5 years not a single large pharma may exist...this is not hype, Colonel.
