Can you make good $ with Integra?

They start with a $40K base + monthly commission, but to make real money ($150-250), you have to convert to comp. plan B where the base is much lower and the commission % is higher. There are definitely reps earning over $200k. Recon/Ortho is the better product line.

Interviewed with a manager that is actually a friend of mine. THIS IS EXACTLY what he said to me. Two pay plans, one lower base high commission and the other the opposite.

I used to sell for Arthrex and left do to distributor BS and the fact that they are cutting back on commissions. I generally understand this because of the economy but when you have to pay your own expenses including gas and health insurance it gets a little tight. I've seen Integra's Orth/Recon's products and they are good. None of them are me too products but then again neither is anything these days-------take a look at how many spine commodities their are.

Yes. I have made well over 200K each year for 5 years, not including the comp for benefits, car allowance, and expenses paid, which I didn't get at my last job. I took a small territory and worked like a dog to build it up, taking share away from my competition. Sales at Integra is set up so that if you can sell, you will do well. The nice thing is that because it is straight commission once you have built up your disposable volume, you can pretty much count on making at least 160K+ per year. Then, you figure out how to maximize the bonuses, close some big capital and keep taking business away from your competition. You are over 200K+.

The problem is that when you are hired, you typically make less than "industry" standard. You have to hang in there for a couple of years and work hard and then you are set for as long as you want to stay. You just have to produce. This is a real sales job and great sales people are rewarded.

The Neuro products are the best in the industry. The first time a Neurosurgeon tells you he saved a patient's life with your technology, you feel pretty proud and realize the importance of what you are doing. There aren't too many jobs where you can help to make a difference. Integra is a great company if you can produce and if you are willing to pay your dues. Just know that there is 2 years of lean times before you start to hit the big bucks. The company is very stable and we didn't have any layoffs during the economic downturn.

Ask to see the comp plan and sales for the territory, only you can decide if it is good money. The products are good, but buyer beware if your territory is contract driven Integra does not have a contract process and this will be a problem. Expenses and benefits are not the best but Integra is not a big company. Overall an average sales job, but not a good career place.

Wow, different rates for different divisions.

It is neuro.

Are the other allowances at least in the same ballpark?

Thanks

$450 per month and up to $500 in gas that you can expense.

The different divisions have different sized territories. Is this an expansion territory or are you replacing someone?
