Can I come back after PIP?

Honest answers please. I was at Abbvie 4 years ago and was on A PIP. I left before they could fire me and quit on my own. Fast forward to now and a new manager just offered me a role on his team. It is a hefty salary increase.

question… will the PIP that is on my HR file come up on my background check? Yes I mentioned I used to work here. If it comes up will they rescind the offer or it doesn’t matter? Again I left on my own and wasn’t terminated but I was on a PIP in a different division. Thanks so much.

When a company queries another about a former employee, they an only share objective data. Data you started, total time there, roles, etc. not performance. Not how you were managed or employment status such as FLMA.

Standard practice.

I guess I wasn’t clear. I used to work at Abbvie. I got a PIP azar Abbvie but left before termination. I now have a lucrative offer from Abbvie in another division after a few years out of Abbvie. Question is when they do my background check will this hurt me as it’s in the HR file?

ER files are dumped after a reasonable time. If you wanna come back, welcome aboard and keep your trap shut about this for a few years.

Just like Pulp Fiction. Be cool.
