From the union leader editorial and reported by other sources as well. No one is even surprised anymore.

President Obama ends a three-day bus tour of the Midwest today. In yet another example of his incontinent spending, you paid for it.

The White House insisted that the tour was official presidential business, not political campaigning. Therefore, the taxpayers funded it and the $1.1 million bus that took the President to all of his stops.

What did he do at these stops? He gave political speeches that were hard to distinguish from his campaign fund-raising speeches. He criticized Republicans incessantly, blamed the debt downgrade on them and accused them of putting their party before their country. Then, he worked the rope lines and kissed babies. No, not a campaign trip at all.

As former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleisher noted, President George W. Bush made campaign bus tours, too. Only, he paid for his.

HA! Now SPN....you know Obama was just traveling around listening to the people. LMAO! I wish someone on the campaign trail would've asked him on camera why we were having to pay for his campaining.

I wasn't going to waste time looking for when BU$H or any president did this. I'll bet they did. How much folks? Put your money where you fox news is.

Let me see if I understand this Tea Party Argument. It's ok to shut the government down over the debt ceiling which resulted in The Tea Party Downgrade but it's not ok for a President to go out and speak to the folks, even a Tea Party crazy in the crowd. The bus belongs to the Secret Service. Had he repainted the bus, there would have been more criticism. Either way, the Tea Party will find fault. So what else is new?

Geez Airman Who, if you paid $300K in federal income tax last year, you could have afforded the bus. You should have bought it for him and fitted it with extra-wide seats for Aunt Esther. Actually, when he's out of DC, he can only do minimal damage, so the trip is a wash in my eyes. At least the tea party "crazies" who confronted him were coherent as compared to the union-thug plants that heckled Romney last week, asking him to strengthen SSI. What a couple of blood-sucking union parasites.

That was $346K in taxes he paid.

Maybe this will help you put this in perspective:

The White House says President Obama isn't focused on his reelection campaign, but tonight he will headline his 29th and 30th fundraisers for the year.

Mark Knoller of CBS News, tabulator of White House statistics, said Obama so far this year has raised money in six states plus Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico.

At the same point in former President George W. Bush's reelection cycle, he had done only three fundraisers

The difference between Obama and Bush is that Bush attempted to be President, while Obama has never risen above being a measly candidate.

BTW, you can stop with your Tea Party bashing. You can also say the democrat congress that never passed a budget had to be checked, and no one was willing to do it...especially not Idiotbama. The democrats are the ones that were bringing the government to their knees by continuing to spend like drunken sailers. You can't even blame Bush anymore when for 2 years your democrat owned congress wouldn't even pass a budget.

A little reminder for you and others here . . .

Your welcome.

:D

All candidates do some screening. The Secret Service does some of it.

There is a difference, however, between screening and planting so-called ordinary citizens in the audience and having them ask questions that were written in the White House. Isn't it interesting that when those types of questions are asked the answer is already up on the teleprompter?
