Camera in new laptops

When they remote connect at help desk they can see you. Ask them next time you call. But last poster was right about being illegal if they don't inform us of this fact. To my knowledge they haven't disclosed this to us.
 












Last company I worked for had camera and microphone on laptop. "Duck Tape" does wonders. I don't want any IT nerd watching my house at night while I am working on my time.
 
























Well if you are putting that question on CF you are already a bit worried. Best thing to do is look around. If you are guilty of anything and worried about tracking just look around. Are people you know dropping like flies?

DM's already got their top line training on what "we should be looking for here" with the "management tool" that the tis laptop provides for DM's and RD's. Have a guy go in there and toggle down all the settings asap. This is going to be one quick PIP plan this quarter as the new tracking and hawking deceives are there for one reason and one reason only, to get the slackers red handed.
 






Howard S left years ago and returned from a far off land. There he saved a race of little people who live in the back halls and basements of Forest offices. Each is assigned to a pod to watch and record their every move. The new laptops are making their job much easier.

Oh, I forgot to let you know my friend in the home office told me this.
 












You can't disassemble the mic! The camera is real. Help desk turned mine on when he logged onto computer to help me fix it. I saw him and he saw me. I now have black electrical tape on mine.
 












I also know help desk can see you when they remote connect to you. IT guy said he could see us, and he popped up window so I could see him when I asked about the camera. I was completely shocked that he could do this and only mentioned it when directly asked. This is ridiculous! What if I was sitting around in the buff calling them at night, to not let reps know this is over the top illegal. We need to report this.
