Business Development Officer

Looking for 2 Business Development Officers (1x Northern California, 1x Southern California) to expand our testing services to other medical clinics, hospital networks, and private enterprises. They will be responsible for all aspects of the deal-stream including sales lead outreach, proposal and RFP submissions, negotiation, and contract execution. The Business Development Officer will also be responsible for account maintenance and will be required to work closely with other departments to ensure services are of the highest quality.

The Business Development Officer shall report directly to the Chief Business Development Officer

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients including clinics, hospitals, and private enterprises to solicit business.
• Meet quotas on both outreach and deal closes
• Assist in all aspects of the deal-stream up to contract signing including submission and preparation of proposals and RFPs.
• Work closely with other executives to curate unique Benefit programs for Employers
• Assist with the initial launch and onboarding of any new client
• Develop a deep understanding of IHD’s service lines and how they can be utilized by a potential client
• Understand the health insurance landscape and how it pertains to laboratory services
• Attend any relevant trade shows or events to market IHD’s service line.
• Attend internal sales meetings to report progress and acquire strategies to close deals
• Attend educational seminars to further understand IHD’s service lines
• Track and report any market trends, policy changes, and competition that may affect IHD’s offering
• Ensure the individual’s sales activities comply with any state or federal regulations
• Provide customer feedback to other departments with the goal of continued improvement of services
• Represent IHD in a professional and ethical manner.

Competencies

· Proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office and collaborative tools (e.g. video conferencing)
