It certainly isn't suit and tie nor is it pleated 1995 dockers......it is the way we in the 21st now dress at meetings which many other companies have started to adopt. There are numerous iterations of business casual at Genentech as you will see at training, your mid -year sales meetings, BU meetings and of course, NSM. For guys, you may chose from jeans & sport shirt or polo shirt, jeans $ tee shirt/v neck sweater or 1/4 zip sweater (but never, ever wear a Mr Rogers zip sweater), khakis (never, ever may they be pleated) with same top options or you can go hillbilly like some do with baggy Carhart work jeans with extra pockets. Hope this helps. Once you're onboard, you'll figure it out. Some even sort of dress like this in the field so just go with the flow, you're now with Genentech baby!!
