Bullying/Micromanagement/Toxic Environment in Respiratory Division?

Is the Tespiratory Division as Toxic as I have heard? If so, is it on the PC, Specialty, and or Biologics side? I had a former colleague from another company recommend that I not even consider a job in that division unless I was unemployed. Thoughts? What is leadership like and do they tend to promote and/or tolerate toxic people?

I’m not in the Respiratory Division and my managers have been both good and bad through the years, but I also know bullying/toxicity is pretty rampant in the industry. You might want to checkout some of the older threads on similar topics in regards to AZ.

lol!!! This company has zero ethics and zero compliance. If you’re black and a woman beware!!! Their sexual harassment and discrimination investigator (KKK Wheelbarrow) pressures employees to basically take plea bargains instead of doing her job and investigating when told. She is a typical “Karen” she sets people up to mediate serious matters instead of smacking leadership down.

You have others like B Wilson (investigated for discrimination under Chatrick and given a slap on the wrist) that cover up for his toxic, racist, and bigoted employees like B Carlson and others on his all white leadership team … as white HR reps like K Jodts gaslight black men and women employees that do the right thing. Too bad she sucks off senior leadership … encouraging the unethical behavior. Compliance , ethics , and legal departments know of the behavior and do. Not. Care. All white fwiw.

All about tenure. It’s a who you know company. They will protect their own at all cost.

Meanwhile MoShi!@ is a sell out drooling on Dave Fred. And posting on social media about how much they care about inclusion and diversity. It’s wild !!

! BBU , oncology, rare disease are all fat cats and need to be humbled. But as the old saying goes … you can’t embarrass the devil.

Are you sure they weren’t talking about the lung cancer team? Because what you heard is great advice, particularly if the role is in Diep C’s organization. An inept toxic bully is what she is and she promotes the same types of women (only) to her leadership team.

STAY AWAY!! "Leadership" shoves metrics down your throat until you get to the point where you lie about your calls to hit the metrics. They don't listen to feedback and if you speak up, you are labeled as "not a team player". They want yes soldiers who don't ask questions and drop off lunches. It's throughout the whole company under BioPharma BBU under JS, not just respiratory. AZ unfortunately will lose a lot of people who will go on to do great things elsewhere. Just wait until the next role, AZ isn't the place to be right now.

JS is a punk. Reminds me of a male version of HRC. A power position that allows him to be an a-hole.

It's about to hit the fan. Metrics aren't good. We all know the antiquated call plans that revolve around calls per day, reach and frequency is still alive and well since it is easily measured. The problem is, reps don't lie as well as they should. So here we are. DSM's are being put on action plans because their reps aren't getting it done. Be ready to be put on a plan by your DSM. This place has become a clusterf'. Step one for the downsizing that is about to come. Want to survive? Lie.

One thing I learned about pharma is that if you hear a rumor that rumor is usually true.
