Buckets, WTF?

anybody else wondering how they came up with who goes into what bucket? I'm guessing they threw darts or if you made money and did well they punish you by moving you down a bucket or two. Very frustrated.

Are you serious? You can't figure it out? Here's a helpful hint. If you go to the prelaunch ranking list you will notice the #1 territory has the highest Restasis volume (minus medicare). If you have the smarts of a fourth grader, you can see that as you go down the ranking list the Restasis scripts decrease. So, if you look at the last person in the D bucket, they have the lowest Restasis volume. We're you busy texting when this was explained to us? Grow up.

Ok dip $hit, explain this to me? I'm in the bottom of Restasis volume (bottom 1/4) for D bucket and now I am in the Y bucket competing with those that have volumes 3, 4, 5 times greater than my territory. So NO I was not "busy texting" when they went over this. Maybe you should get some facts before you go off.

Poor dear, you do love to exaggerate, don't you? There was not one territory moved from the bottom of the D bucket to the Y bucket. I requested a list and got it. You are not being truthful. If I could publish the list here, I would to show that you are nothung buy a whiney liar.

There were territories in the D bucket that moved to R, but those territories were not in the bottom 1/4th.
 






There are MULTIPLE territories that were in the D bucket that are now in the Y bucket. Check your list again. Pretty much all of of who will be announced as P-club and VP-club winners from the D bucket got screwed.

I would love to argue with you, but one thing I know for sure is you never argue with an idiot, they will just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. Oh, and I will wave from the stage!

look at the original claim. No one from the bottom 1/4 was moved to the Y bucket. This is an outright lie. If you want to stir the pot, that's your right, but keep it true.

you got a $40k to $50k quarterly bonus and you're complaining that you got screwed? You're only a couple of weeks into Q1 and you're whining about getting screwed? So you don't think you can do it? Pathetic. Not much faith in yourself. Weren't you whining about being in the D bucket with no chance of making the big bucks like those in the Y bucket? Geez, people! The people who are in jeapordy are those who sold a free script, not a dry eye therapy. Yes, some of you figured out how to get a ton of people to get a free script filled by a lot of people. You got techs and friends to do you a favor so you could get that $40 something dollars per script. Oops!!! Now you're going to complain? I don't feel your pain.
 












Look, I did well in Q4 and was in the D bucket, and now I'm in the Y bucket and I was in the bottom 1/3 market volume for Restasis. This has happened to several people I know. Let's just get rid of the buckets.

Needs to be a market share component at some point. Some people have extremely low market volume and are consistently market leaders (already) in their territory. THAT is winning, versus someone that's at 15% share but killing it on volume and getting more bonus.

Yes, I didn't say "ONLY" market share. I said a market share "COMPONENT" (where volume AND market share are considered). There are territories where the entire market volume is less than 50-60 per week. If those reps get 100% market share, they won't have the same opportunity to make as much as most other territories. Shire should be fair to those that are beating the competition in those small markets. Wasn't their fault that they got the hand that was dealt them on a low market volume territory. If you put in a market share or market share growth component (50% of your bonus is tied to it, for instance), watch us work harder to grab every dry eye Rx. Otherwise, watch people start leaving OR watch those that have been doing well just try to sustain their current volume to hit that target bonus. Either scenario is not a recipe for growing X.

And for the record, you'll see me on stage in two weeks based on my volume, so I'm pretty sure they like me. I may be silly, but at least I'm not condescending or arrogant to believe that if someone else had been in my shoes with my territory, they probably would've killed it too.
