Broken contract- what happens?

I've never taken a position with a contract company. So what happens if you give your notice? do you get paid for it? can you just not interview for sometime with inventiv again(like a few years)? I knew someone that did the training and then was offered something he would have rather had, so can he ever get hired again?

I left a contract with inVentiv and was paid after I gave my notice. I was also asked to interview for another contract with them about 6 months later (different contract) so as long as you leave for the right reasons and on good terms, you should be able to leave and come back at another time.

Not sure what would happen if you left during training - that might be a different story...
