Just called my local mom and pop shop to get my branded Adderall 20mg script filled (the big chains only carry generics). They said "We tried to order it, but we were informed there was a shortage."

Is this true?

Shire doesn't own the product anymore. Sold it to Barr Labs.

Previous poster is correct, Adderall IR was sold to Barr Labs as part of a suit settlement.

this is sortof true. there are different companies that produce adderall as a generic. but they are short on supply across the country. the fda says its has to do with uneven distribution patterns. the fda regulates how much amp gets out to public. hope this helps.... they say after january it should get better! last year it was hydrocodone!- one pharmacist said
