Brag Books

are the managers here big on Brag Books? If so are they usually looked at on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd interview?

You will never be wrong for having one that is well-organized with documented success. So don't be lazy, get it done, speak to your accomplishments in the interview relative to the questions asked and if a manager wants to see it, they will ask to take a look. Some are very interested in brag books and some are not so it will be much easier for you to be PREPARED. Good luck.

ps. Never go through a brag book page by page. You should be able to highlight your top 3-5 most significant accomplishments, why and how you were able to accomplish them and ultimately support it with documentation.

Who cares? Everyone knows you need to bring one and everyone also knows at least half the information is false or redone since it is just about impossible to prove.

Sorry to hear you don't have real accomplishments.
But no, everybody doesn't fake it. Stop giving everybody a bad rap for something a few might do.
Many of us are honest and truthful. Maybe that's what gets us the job over those that don't...

If you lie about yourself, you lie about your drugs features and benefits.

Have integrity, if nothing else!

Most of us are honest-Give me a break! I have been a hiring manager for over 10 years and everytime I have 2 people interviewing from the same district/same company their numbers never match-one or probably both are inflating their accomplishments. The amount of exageration has only increased as the industry gets smaller and there are more layoffs.

Although i can only speak for myself, even in a pod environment we all have different products, targets and/or weightings. Two reps from the same district would never have the same identical numbers, figures, accomplishments.

Therefore, if you truly have been a hiring mgr. You would know to look deeper into star questioning to get to the true representative.

You ask the right questions, you learn to read into the validity of the answers.

So what you're saying is that you've never hired anyone when another candidate was interviewing from the same district/company? I love the hypocrisy in how you exaggerate your point.

This is astellas, if you have integrity, go work somewhere else. CORRUPTION is the word here.

Not a brag book story, but similar. My favorite story is from an older rep (50's) who was Pharm D, very respected, always at the top and multiple award winner. DM loved spread sheets, graphs and BS that wasn't business related (young, new DM who micromanaged...imagine that). Gave the older rep a booklet of what he could work on with graphs, etc. He asked her if he could see it, she handed it to him and he tossed that fucker out the window! Gotta respect someone with those balls, especially if they have the record/reputation to back it up.

That's awesome!! Would it be safe to say that this rep would also take one look at the segmentation guide and proceed to light it on fire and throw it on the ground and finish by pissing on it to put out the flames? He should! We all should, how pathetic is that brilliant plan. Good job sales training, you continue to prove your worth/value to us sales people each and every quarter!!
