Year after year BPO and HR fire loads of colleagues at novartis for wrong doing. So one would effect this company to be most well respected and mannered. On the contrary.. NVS is being fined in Europe, Japan and US, over and over again.
At the same time for years the people BPO sorts out move to companies least found breaking the rules... what does this tell us?
Yes, they have been punished in many countries that have good, strong laws against crooked co as this one is. And in spite of that, they continue to do their crime on daily basis. The moment they are fined, they develop new and improved ways to do that crime, hoping those will not be uncovered and noticed at all. But they are, for many good people are watching them like NSA. They collect the evidence and when they are ready, they do the right thing.
So why do continue doing it? Simple. Thy are so addicted to the enhanced profits that come from using crime along the the legal practices, that they simply can not stop. The fines are just a small cost of doing their criminal biz.
Now imagine what they do in countries with no good laws, like USA False Claim Act? It is an open biz for all. For instance just north of your border, there is a country called Canada, that has no such laws. There Novartis located in the place called Dorval, has a completely open field to do their criminal, scheming shit.
Best of all, the most they can pay in terms of fine is $10.000 in Canadian dollars. This is enforced by their "self regulating", private club for bigpharma, called Rx&D. Imagine stealling 1/2 billion (equal to stealling $5 Billion in USA) and pying a grant total of $10K in fine. Everytime that happens, the wise guys in Dorval, have party to celebrate another successful scheme. Then they re-do the scheme and start all over again, stealling and looting from these gentle folks, called Canadians.
This kind of plundering of countries around the world goes on and on. Will it ever stop? You be the judge.
