How's the Boomsauce flowing in Texas these days???
How's the sauce flowing?
Really? Read the whole report....do you understand GAAP? And why revenues have been down? Or did you go to some pathetic community college and a crap state school. Look at the posts year after year on hear and it's the same BS. We are still here and growing. Why haven't we fallen yet? Hmmmm let me guess your reply..."just wait until you have competition". How about this....what will you say when J&j buys us or another robotic company? That it's still a waste? Computer assisted surgery definitely doesn't make sense in this day and age.
Go eat a trochar...and spend your nights bashing your future employer.
Stock price: ISRG (NASDAQ) $481.81 -13.96 (-2.82%)
Oct 22, 4:00 PM EDT - Hmmm seems to be going down again...
The top line of Intuitive Surgical 's third-quarter earnings report looked pretty good. Revenue was up 10% on the back of a 10% increase in the number of procedures performed on its machines. The company placed 111 da Vinci Surgical Systems, compared with 101 in the year-ago quarter, an increase of -- you guessed it -- 10%.
So where did gross profits come in? Not 10%. More like a measly 1% year-over-year increase.
Source: Intuitive Surgical.
Gross margin fell to 65.6% in the third quarter. Gross margins have been slipping steadily for the past few years, from 72.1% in 2012 to 70.4% in 2013, but the third quarter sets a new bottom, 1.6 percentage points lower than the second quarter. On a pro forma basis the drop was even worse, coming in at 2 percentage points

No one is forcing you to invest in ISRG. If you don't like what you see, invest somewhere else. If you don't believe in the technology, then have your surgery done with another technique.
If you're playing Woodward and Bernstein and looking for some grand conspiracy or some piece of data that will have shut ISRG's doors, you're sadly naive. Newsflash: no technology is perfect, and pateints get hurt in surgery for a variety of reasons. Equipment fails and surgeon skills vary.
It's easy to throw scuds from the cheap seats. Put your money where your mouth is and actually contribute. At the very least, quit boring everyone else with your whining. Your act has grown thin.
