Let the panic begin for all of those that have not been working on their plan B.
HQ should be a very interesting place as the rats begin to devour each other hoping to be the last one left to turn out the lights. HQ is a great location for a retirement home or planned condo community.
Mr. Smart Ass....help us out here. What should be on our Plan B. Look around and tell us what's available. There is probably not a single soul at AZ that has not considered altenative career options. Who wants to stay in this Hell Hole. But the fact of the matter is not much is available out there.. For each available advertised position, avarage number of applicants is 157.
Go 1099 and own your future. Do some REAL selling. Any industry.
reality is that if your plan B is in pharma, then you're SOL! There is no future in pharma. Most companies are downsizing as we speak. The only ones that are hiring are looking for young fresh out of college that will take minimal pay. And then they don't have job security because the dominos are falling fast and every company will be reduced to a skeleton. Medical Device is going through changes also because of the taxes imposed on it. Forget Animal Health cause everything can be bought at 1-800-pet-meds. I suggest you look outside at something new. It's a shame that with all the training we received in pharma, those skills aren't transferable. Good luck to us all!
Please Pascal - offer a fair buy out to your employees now and release us from our misery. The culture has long imploded upon itself. PSS role is nothing. Counterparts squabbling and backstabbing. Numbers so negatively skewed that they have become a trigger for even more stress related absences from work. I used to be very proud of my company and everyone I worked with. Today I HATE it but I am tied to you. Give me a fair/ reasonable buyout and let me return to loving my life, loving my job and enjoying the people I surround myself with. Don't get me wrong, Pascal... I know you are doing the right thing for the company. I just hope you do the right thing by someone who really wanted the best out of this company and painfully watched it succumb to greed and pettiness. Yes - I am a senior rep. No one owes you jack $hit. You all knew that things would be sketchy w/ Nexium and Crestor both going generic by 2016. What did you think would happen when $10B goes bye-bye?
You should be happy that it is only 2300. Again....GLOBALLY!

Nobody knows what countries will be hit. They never said. They are ADDING reps in emerging markets! The U.S. will and should be hit the hardest.
Absolutely. The US is taking the biggest hit. Wilmingon turned to dust and CNS, Managed Markets and many layers of management will be gone. Anyone making six figures is a target to go first and they don't care who you are, what you have done, how you are rated, or who you know. It is math at this point.
