bonus potential

that's a very vague question....bonus is 25% of your annual base salary divided by 4 (quarters). If you reach 100% quota attainment you get your full bonus. It's on a sliding scale, meaning if you hit 90% of quota you get 1/2 of your bonus, if you hit 110% of it you get 2x your quarterly bonus. Sometimes quotas are realistic; sometimes they are ridiculously high. bonuses are capped at 110%; they didn't used to be. at one time you got $1,000 for every 10% you hit over 110% (i.e. you got an extra $3,000 if you hit 143% to quota)...it was rare but nice.

Its really not appropriate to be putting your salary on here, even if you put a range. First, there are many different kinds of experiences that people have here and thenumber of years people have been with the company varies. There are different territories that require different amounts of travel, blah blah blah.

When you do this, put out ranges and such, you run the risk of people misinterpreting and getting all pissed off. I recommend to the person inquiring, that if you are fortunate enough to get a job offer, ask your question then and only then. Make it clear what you have to bring to the table and ask for what you are worth. Asking people what they are making, is just irrelevant, because you cannot compare yourself to others. Its apples to oranges here. I can tell you, that this job pays higher than most pharma jobs, because the travel is greater and they expect that you are already a professional and that you have more to bring to the table than just entry level pharma sales. Sadly, some I work with, may have just as well stayed in their entry level pharma and D.M.E. rep jobs, because they act like they just fell off the rep boat. That includes managers, you know the ones. Full of hot air, but can't walk their talk and never did.
