U get 'em all except bonus

You really dont get any of these. If you think about it you are only on one of these contracts 1-2 years Max. That really adds up to nothing. In many cases you will be gone in 6-9 months. They can say they offer all kinds of things, in essence you get nothing because these are temp. jobs.

You get all except pension. The problem is they're all very very poor in quality. Benefits are ridiculously expensive. Bonus is per contract but normally below target.

Be smart if you decide to go this route. If you are not desperate, hold out a little longer. If you think about contract work, there is nothing positive. You are going into it knowing that before long, usually before they tell you it is suppose to end, it is over. You are then stuck looking for another job or hoping that these so called recruiters help find you something else. You are always in the same boat here. You do not get much respect from real companies looking to hire you when you have this job on your resume. Contract is temp work with a headache. There is never any good that can come out of it not even if you feel as though you are the best rep ever. This company does not care how good you are, when it is over, it is over. If you are questioning yourself about starting a contract, then you will be questioning yourself like the above post said in 6-9 months wondering why you waisted that time on temp work instead of a real job.

We are all desperate to take these jobs no one would choose it. The key is to never be desperate avoid being in a situation that you have to ruin your career by taking a temporary job with a end date spelled out. That is the sign you are desperate. There are other positions for qualified people that have avoided this career disaster.

Let's face it, these are desperate times. If you have to take a contract job to support your family, do it. But just keep looking & interviewing for better. A fixed duration job directly with a pharma company is usually better benefit wise than with these contract companies. Just don't look at contract as anything long term or beneficial.

working is good, take the contract work, make the best of it..continue to look...Fixed duration is another word for Contract with the added benefit on knowing when you'll be let go...both beat sitting at home (where all those skills are getting rusty and dull --this is what recruiter is thinking...)..good luck to everyone on finding something.

100% in agreement.

WTF is up with the 401k at Syneos? No match until after your first year? YEAR TWO you receive a 25% match, 3 years is 50%, and 4 years 100%.

Are there contracts that last 4 years?
