BMS diabetes reps will be cut first









Reps that don't work and still live through their past glory days will be let go first. No more overpriced caterers with phony smiles. Can't wait.

BS! Nobody "works" in the field at AZ! Nobody! Next year will be the time for major cuts. There will definitely be a generic Advair in 2016, and other new competitors for Symbicort. But hell, it goes generic late 2016 or early 2017 anyway. Wait until we have face generic Crestor and XR next year and beyond. Movantik is searching for a market, and is DOA. It will take years to recover the cost of Brilinta. But we have the delusional Frenchie and his henchmen on the Board of Directors turning down Pfizer's amazing offer, and now the stock is in the mid 60's. It's almost $30 lower than Pfizer's offer! Hope the big shareholders are happy!

This is absolutely correct. An request for an investigation by major stockholders has already been filed with the SEC. This will allow them to look under the AZ covers and imagine how much waste they will uncover. Paying six figure incomes to people that never work more than a few days per week and rarely leave their home is just the tip of the iceberg. How about sending executives and their spouses on an exotic all expenses paid trip every year under the guise of a sales reward program? The press is going to love that one.

So what you say might be true but It doesn't take a high IQ to figure out what was given to BMS reps had increase in sales. Only thing that has fucked up Farxiga is the inability for AZ to undercut other pharmaceutical companies for better coverage.

Oh my! I have to say that my only experience with the BMS reps is that they seem to have good work ethic, are pretty good at strategizing,….but they can't sell worth a damn. I've not met ONE who can sell. Not even a little bit.

If your manager likes you or your rank in the top half of your district, you're in good shape (BMS or AZ). Lets get real, they want to make money to and keep the best team possible.

The key phrase is, "if your manager likes you". We all have seen good reps let go over bad reps. If you are good at kissing ass, a minority (female is best), then you have it made. You are golden if you are a minority AND a single mom! AZ has let many good reps go over the years. It's just the way this shitty company operates!
 




Don't forget, they already made moves in December to protect the reps they felt were the "best" when they hand picked the injectable team. This layoff will impact the oral team. Count on that!

At least they got something right; they are finally forcing out some of the MMs account directors that have been sitting on their asses collecting fat paychecks and growing cobwebs.
 




If they really want to save some money then they need to eliminate many of those new MAPs roles they created. They are bumping in to each other trying to find things to do and regularly try to take credit for sales initiatives that they had nothing to do with. We do very
Little contracting at the local level. Almost all contracting is now with the PBM or Nation Payer and the down streams typically follow their formularies. The only semi valuable role in the field is the Integrater Role. There was so much money wasted on these Regional Summits that almost nothing came out of or followed up by MAPs.
