It didn't matter if you worked your end off or not. Aptalis was part of the good ol boys club and the brown nosers club. If you weren't a part of either (or both!) of those groups then you were left out. I know people denied advancements based on this. These were not secrets! For this, glad that those in power (and those brown nosing) are no longer able to hide behind the comfort of Aptals. May the peace be with you and may everyone get exactly what they deserve.
 








Hate to tell you but working smart was always the way to work this gig. Did not really have anything to do with brown nosing or kissing a$$...just work smart and you end up on top.

So many people complained about this job when they had it but now realize that we had it pretty good. Everyone got the bennies...like sunglasses, Kindles and Ipads. Great meetings in fun places and even better award trips and P clubs for those who made it.

Hopefully there are still places out there like this and some will be lucky and end up there.

Peace Out! Tomorrow will be sad even if you were retained.

This board will soon be relegated to the lost civilizations. Sounds a bit like Divergent.

No kidding sparky. Unless you're with a super small company, this doesn't exist. Craptalis sold out so the big guys got rich and the rest of you got sh*tcanned. Hope the sunglasses were worth it.

Don't be jealous. No joke about it. Pharma reps are overpaid, but not compared to what our top dogs make. We increase business and our territories are worth millions of dollars while we see about 1% of that money. I worked smarter because in the end, I know that no matter how hard I worked, I could only get so far based on lack of management support and Managed Care Coverage. Texas, Florida, and NE. Common theme. They have great MC coverage. So sorry you didn't figure the game out earlier. Maybe next time, kid.
