Blemish on driving record

I am in the interview process with Quintiles and have a significant "blemish" on my driving record (the ONLY one in many, many years of driving). Since there is no company car involved (offering car allowance), do I still need to be concerned? Don't want to waste their time or mine. I do have a valid drivers license. Serious replies only, thank you.

Well it depends. How serious are u talking? If it's a DUI, you have a problem. But if it's just a ticket or something it may not matter. If you're just getting a car allowance they're going to make you have the maximum car insurance liability coverage though so depending on what you have now you might need to factor that expense in. I have a literally perfect driving record and my car insurance increased by 100$ a month. Considering that your car allowance is taxed, and they take out for personal gas it works out great for the employer and not so great for the employee.

I am aware that they hired a rep several years ago in the Phoenix area that had a serious DUI and continues to drink and drive.
