BL Waterford to get new Bonus scheme?

Following recent difficulties with restructure, and share collapse, a major profit share announcement is planned for end of 2016 for some Valeant/BL sites.

Aim is to improve retention which is seen as a major problem especially for Waterford site. Previous attempts to fund were stalled due to high termination costs of some senior executives.

The offer may be a 15-20% reward of base salary excluding, overtime based, on achieving 55% plant efficiency across the previous year. Could be a real turning point for staff morale and partly reverses Valeant's 20% pay reduction which was needed to fund their high leverage acquisitions.

As a senior US leader commented - "We trust this will help restore good employee relations over in Ireland".

Is this a sign of real change at Valeant?
Their recent "Worst Employer" poll result may be triggering real change.
Good luck to all unfortunate enough to be in their employ.

One reliable source indicates Valeant is already close to selling Bausch and Lomb. Their proposal values BL at $3 - 5 billon or 40% under their acquisition cost.

It looks likely that Ackmann has decided to draw a line under the BL disaster and crystallize his loss. The ongoing uncertainty at Pershing has destroyed his ability to function. His judgement is constantly called into question. Here's to a new beginning for everyone!

If true, that sale price would be 40% under acquisition cost only if you included the debt that was assumed when VRX bought them. Sale price was $4.5B and $4.2B debt. Selling BL in the $3-5B range would be a wash depending on how much debt is tacked onto the sale.

The big questions are who would by BL and then what?

"Paddy", get back to work.

They've made a good start, overwhelming Yes vote in support of both industrial action and all out strike was result of ballot today.
Maybe now Senior Mgmt will face up to how employees feel about the totally unnecessary cuts in 2014.
The cuts weren't needed for any other reason only the greed of Valeant, and Valeant are going down the tubes.

Ye haven't the balls to see this through! Lose your jobs with no other opportunities easily available. Do a deal and suck it up!

Valeant Strategy - Fiscal Rectitude for all but the Board

I have lost thousands in my dwindling Valeant shares. Mike Pearson told us it was too big to fail and now it has. I want my money back.

By the way what the hell are the new Board at??
Restoring the full pay cuts over in Waterford Ireland??
They just bought these out out for a king's ransom a couple of years ago and now they have caved in.
What a bunch of losers and amateurs. A pay freeze would have been a much better cost control.

Papa will resign by end of 2017 due to his failure to restore faith in the Valeant business model. The sooner the better.

Well done you for buying into MPs scam!
You deserve to lose it, those workers in Ireland and other B&L sites don't give one crap about you or any other shareholder!
