BIVI Boehringer is GOING DIRECT. Attention all distributors do not work with you BI reps!!
They are trying to get all account information from distributors and use your relationships to get in the door and they are positioning the company to profile all your Merial & Merck accounts and they are will be going direct! No matter what management says or your (soon to be) fake smiling BI rep they are lying to you. They know this change is taking place and they have contests to profile accounts and submit the information for paid bonuses! Do not let them switch out your business with anyone. They will hurt you in the end. Another change is coming down the road.
The new product line is perfectly lined up with all of a sudden they want to work with all reps and educate you on the new product line. Its perfect time for hiring new reps, getting your information, getting closer to you for information, then taking your business out from under you. They will say we need all the new reps to sell our new vaccine line" LIE.
I have a family member that works for BIVI in a high position and this is the truth but this will affect a few friends I have in the industry so I feel they should be warned. No one shoud have their financial situation harmed for greed and dishonesty. Good luck BI and to Distribution now you can have an even playing field and everyone can protect themselves. Management will be making changes too sorry to say.
 






I heard that too. I guess we can't change things happening. I just hope it doesn't cost more jobs. Or hire hire hire then use the reps then fire fire fire.
I hate these corporate liars! We never know they lie to our face then stab us in the back.I just went on an interview with them. Should I take the job I don't want to lose my job next year and leave a secure job now. What should I do? Confused. I was looking forward to getting away from working from a direct company now. Any advice would be helpful.
 






I would look at long term stability. Do you like your current position and why are you leaving? BIVI is easy job they don't work hard and management is very lax. Depends how much you like your job now. They hire anyone and now hiring kids no experience so hard to tell.

Just like we did before all other product launches.
We hired when we took over selling Metacam.
We hired when we launched Vetmedin.
We hired when we bought FDAH products.
We are hiring now that we have Ultra.

But hiring only inexperienced newbies...I still don't get that model...but good luck with that
 






Why hire inexperienced reps?

BIVI is an extremely top heavy organization, they have way too many reps in the senior level positions.

Remember, 8 years ago they expanded and needed experienced reps. So say that they had 3-7 years experience and were 30 years old. That means today that rep is almost 40 with at least 11-15 years experience.

5 years ago, they expanded again. Again, look at the numbers up top and they still apply.

You now have a majority of the reps who have at least 10-15 years experience.

The lifeblood of any organization is younger reps. They can train them, they come cheaper, and they don't have bad habits like senior reps.

In distribution, you need reps who are experienced and know the product, Vet's or the industry, and it wouldn't make sense to hire a new kid.

I promise, the sky is not falling.

BIVI will not go direct. In fact, you will sell more BIVI because we went away from free goods and went to the rebate program called Dollars and Sense. You can't make money on all the Free vaccine you give away in the "buy 4 get 1 free" programs... at least consider that we are trying to put 20% more sales in your pockets.
 




































STEERING BUSINESS

Steering business will be come back to hurt you. Customers tell me how you desperately throw yourself at them to steer our dist business. YOU ARE confusing them and coming on too STRONG
YOUR manipulation is obvious to them. Telling the DVM's
not to say anything really!?!? They tell us as soon as we walk in.
YOU are 1 brand we are 600+ who do you think has the DVM loyalty? Your phony fake manipulating is obvious. Is it as transparent to your managers too? Does your upper management team see your act too?
Acting like we can't survive with out your help
We survived before you and will after you lady.
How many more under the table deals can you put out in desperation?
One more Vet tells me about your manipulation and I vow to never sell a #%cking vial of your product again.I will be happy to call my competing distributors as well. They know what's up already. We have been pushed far enough now.
 






What area is this going on in? I will start asking my Vets questions to see if this is going on in my Territory with my BIVI rep. I think my guy is pretty fair and honest to all his distributors he has been around a long time. Do you think this is a company wide spread thing that came from management or just one bad rep making bad business decisions that can tarnish the company? If anyone sees this can you report it so we can see of this is company wide or isolated territory and Rep. Don't like working like this.
 
























This thread started in 2012 and yet BI is still 100% through distribution. Good call though. Maybe they'll be direct in another 2 years. Just keep checking this thread for the most accurate information provided to you by Team Henry Schein.
