Biopatch

biopatch is manufactured by Integra - JNJ only owns the name Biopatch, and basically is the sales and marketing force

its been out for 15 years or so; all clinical evidence was gathered in the relative dark ages of IV site care, not even relevant anymore

also, its a stand alone antimicrobial only, so obviously it REQUIRES multiple other products in conjunction with it

there is a new product, tegaderm CHG, that is an all-in-1 securement and antimicrobial solution, and will cut hospital costs in half

biopatch is done; when JNJ sales force costs too much and gets sick of it, Integra will dump the old product to some other sales force

I can not believe old JNJ Wound Care reps went to sell this product along with the other JNJ pharma reps who also sell this old product. Can you possibly make money with this thing?

Have any of you seen much GuardIVa in your territory? Is their advantage only price? Suggestions?
