Biomet Orlando

Why are they bad? Have interviewed with King and he seems to be a good guy.

Go work for him. If things don't work out, do something else. Be prepared to either bring some biz with you or you better turn some within 2 years unless you are the cover guy. In regards to asking for feedback on these boards, by now you should realize it is all negative regardless of the company.

Very correct. Most responders on this board seem to be negative on everything. I know King and Mike....both very experienced guys who run a good distributorship. Assuming you are willing to work hard, I would highly recommend them.

I knew King when he was with DePuy and found him to be a good manager and straight shooter. I have not had contact with him for years, but others who work with him have always had good things to say about him.

If he is out as the Biomet distributor, I would think that many others would be forming a line to recruit him and his team.

Yes a lot of us new King when. But getting a chance at being a distributor changed him. He became a different person. One that wasn't well liked. If your sales team doesn't like you and corporate doesn't like you I'd say it's time to wake up. But that would mean admitting he has a flaw (s). This change was long over due. Maybe the icing on the cake will be he gets hired back by DePuy!!

PPL will complain about management until the end of time, but this is interesting time for corporate to be coming in when sales were up in their territory. Both are no longer distributors. I work for a distributor in FL, and I would be concerned re:working for a corp. dir. at this time in the market.

Sales were not up, they also completely screwed up the trauma acquisition, as well as the two other territories they were given over the years. Incompetence and lack of growth was their demise. Not being "liked" by their sales force or corporate was just a bonus. If their numbers were good, they would still be there. I'm sure no one is losing any sleep over these guys being shown the door. As far as corporate taking over.....as long as you hit your number and grow there shouldn't be an issue.
