Big resignation in San Diego today!

I feel very nervous with Mike Royal leaving right on the heels of Jim Breitmeyer. How will Randy spin this? "Mike left to pursue his passion, clinical development and he wasn't going to get that here.......".

Help us all!

Yaaaaay! I hated that guy! What a COMPLETE arrogant pig. I have no positive words for this loser and he was completely in to make a quick buck. He actually had a nasty side and a short fuse. With that said, this is NO surprise. Definitely one of the regionals also has been working with an executive recruitment firm and this has been verified. Most people are actually looking, but won't just take just anything.

In the end, it is just a matter of time. The likelihood of acquiring a second, supportive drug is next to nothing. This drug will carry us for the remainder of the year, but what will 2013 bring. This is a marketing company, not a pharmaceutical company and we have no R&D.

the spin is that we dont really need a clinical development team if we are not developing any drugs. i thought mike was a great asset but never met brietmeyer.
it will be interesting if they promote anyone to these roles, eliminate the 2 positions or redefine roles to include those responsibilities.

I hope it's my regional who's looking. Talk about a short man, I mean fuse.

I don't understand how you say it is not a loss. It absolutely is. This was the head Medical figure head for cadx. Doesn't look good from the outside.

He did absolutely nothing. You don't get it do you? This man came in this opportunity for nothing but the money. Clearly nothing wrong with that when you are upfront and honest about it but that isn't the case. He is now persueing science. Pleeeeease. Save that load of crap. I can tell you from the very beginning that I didn't like this man. The little side bar comments he made to people always sounded very shady. I agree with so many of the other posts. He was an arrogant jerk who was quick to slam people on their role playing at launch as well as leave bad impressions on customers in territory. He was in it for the quick buck and had dollar signs in his eyes. He also has been looking for a new opportunity for over six months. His head hasn't been in the game when they have all realized that this opportunity wasn't going to be a big blockbuster. This is a wake up all to everyone. We have no other drug and can't support everyone on the current drug. Everyone should at least be exploring other opportunities to safeguard themselves.

I have known Mike for over 15 years, from the time he was still in his private practice in Oklahoma to the point where he went into industry shilling for Myobloc for Elan in 2002. He always was one to swoop in for the cash and immediately dash when things were tough. When the going gets tough, he goes.

He's somebody else's problem now.

THANK YOU! This is the most accurate post out there. I've known him for over 10 years as well and he is someone I will never respect. In and out for the cash only. Why can't people see him for what he truly is?
